K - 12 Engineering Education Support (Filling the Engineering Pipeline)


This priority encompasses all K - 12 outreach initiatives coordinated by the College of Engineering to encourage youth to consider science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines for educational and career pursuits. Programs include:

  • Shocker Lego MINDSTORMS
  • Switched-on Saturdays Academy
  • Changing Faces
  • Kansas BEST Robotics
  • Project "Lead The Way" curriculum
  • Engineering summer camps

 

Engineering Student Success Programs


Geared at retaining and graduating engineering students in a timely manner, these student success programs are tailored to different student needs to ensure their success while a student within the WSU College of Engineering. These student success programs include:

  • GEEKS (Great Expectations Engineering Kansas Scholars)
  • BEETS (Bridge for Engineering and Engineering Technology Students)
  • Engineering of 2020 Program
