Iftekhar Scholarship/Fellowship in Electrical Engineering

Abu Ahad Iftekhar Hussain, 1930-1997, was a great father, husband, teacher and an active community member. He believed in education and taught and mentored all his life with great passion and dedication. He helped many overcome tough situations through his infectious positive outlook and vision. He saw the best in everyone and was an inspiration. Mosaddaq H. Turabi earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Wichita State University. He is a network architect and loves cooking and creating new recipes. Nighat Ara earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Wichita State University. She is a network test engineer and loves listening to music and doing outdoor activities. This scholarship is a way for Mosaddaq and Nighat to honor Abu’s appreciation for education and empower others to pursue excellence as his legacy.
