Wichita State’s commitment to applied learning means providing programs that fully immerse students in their fields of study. That means connecting students with internships and co-op experiences. Offering them affordable and abundant opportunities for study abroad. Providing distinctive programs that emphasize research, discovery, creative expression and personal growth.
Among the student-centered programs this campaign seeks to support are the Career Services Office, which provides opportunities for work experience and professional development; Fine Arts performances and Ulrich Museum exhibitions, which offer educational and cultural enrichment; and activities such as the Shocker New Venture Competition and the Koch Innovation Challenge, which take learning beyond the classroom to real-world scenarios.
