Air Capitol Alumni, Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship
Stev Overstreet graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1968 and a Master of Science in administration immediately thereafter. Fostering an appreciation for fine arts, particularly music and dance, he continued his relationship with WSU as a member of the Music Associates board of directors and the Fine Arts Advisory Board. For years, he has attended nearly every fine art event connected with the university.
Prior to working with Boeing Aircraft, Mr. Overstreet served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He joined IBM for a short while and later became facilities and real estate manager at Boeing, now Spirit AeroSystems. Outside of work, his interests ranged from antique clock collecting to visiting ancient civilizations. He owns more than 120 antique mantle, wall and grandfather clocks and has traveled to Egypt, the Greek Isles and several other faraway regions.
In 1996, Mr. Overstreet established this scholarship on behalf of the Air Capital Alumni Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. Scholarship awards go to members of the organization enrolled in the W. Frank Barton School of Business.
