Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship
As a student at Wichita State University in the 1980s, Don Barry struggled to make ends meet. While sharing rent in a $100-a-month house and driving a car with holes in the floor, Mr. Barry earned his Bachelor of General Studies from WSU in 1988.
Don Barry is now the senior vice president of Investments at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Mr. Barry and his wife, Lora, established the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship with the intent to aid students, who could use some additional financial assistance. The scholarship is unique in that recipients must be children or grandchildren of WSU Alumni Association members. Barry and other alumni members are hoping the scholarship will provide a binding link between family and the university.
