Amelya Tanner Endowed Education Scholarship/Fellowship

Amelya Tanner graduated from Wichita University in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education, earning her master’s degree in 1964. The retired schoolteacher and farmer wanted to ensure a future for those students pursuing a degree in education. Upon her passing in 2001, she bequeathed a portion of her estate to establish the Amelya Tanner Endowed Education Scholarship/Fellowship.
