Anita Lusk Business Scholarship

Anita Lusk graduated from Wichita University in 1938 with a degree in business education, earning her master’s in business studies in 1955. As a business teacher at Wichita West High School, she wanted more for her students, ‘I knew I had students who wanted to go to college but couldn’t afford it.’ In 1968, she decided to help those students by establishing the Anita Lusk Business Scholarship. The scholarship is for a graduating senior or alumnus from Wichita West High School who plans to major in business at WSU.

Mrs. Lusk, who died in 2011, was president of The Lusk Company, a real estate and investment firm. She devoted her time to the WSU College of Education Dean’s Advisory Council and the WSU Foundation National Advisory Council. She was a member of the Society of 1895 and received the Fairmount Founder’s Award in 1996.
