Art and Gladys Anderson Fellowship

Dr. Robert Anderson, professor emeritus of education administration and supervision, retired from WSU in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his teaching career spanned more than 40 years, including UI, the University of Nebraska and 25 years with WSU.

Mrs. Anderson, also a graduate of UI, earned her master’s in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School District, she retired in 1991.

In 1989, Dr. and Mrs. Anderson established the Art and Gladys Anderson Fellowship in honor of Dr. Anderson’s parents, who were great supporters of education. Carrying on the commitment to community created by their parents, Dr. and Mrs. Anderson volunteer at the Andover Health Care Center Retirement Home. The retirement home was the residence of Mrs. Gladys Anderson until her passing in 2002.
