Bank IV President’s Endowment

In May 1989, as part of Wichita State University’s ‘Commitment to Excellence’ campaign, Bank IV of Wichita presented contributions to fund future university projects and scholarships. In addition to the Bank IV Endowed Scholarship, a portion of this gift was used to establish the Bank IV President’s Endowment. Its considerable donation was an extension of nearly 20 years of giving to WSU. Following the Kansas City-based Boatmen’s Bank acquisition of Bank IV, another turn of ownership ensued in 1998 when Bank of America acquired the newly formed Nationsbank. Although Bank IV no longer exists, their commitment to WSU continues by way of the Bank IV Endowed Scholarship and the Bank IV President’s Endowment.
