WSU Dave Stallworth Memorial Scholarship

Following a campaign in 2018 to erect a life-sized statue of basketball great Dave Stallworth in front of Charles Koch Arena, Nick Jimenez of Wichita contributed additional funds to endow this scholarship to help deserving WSU students pursue their degrees in the field of education. Nick Jimenez and his brothers were great fans of Stallworth. Nick endowed the scholarship using funds bequeathed to him by his brother, David Jimenez, who died in 2017. David was a lifelong fan of WSU basketball and served for 20 years as a statistician for Mike Kennedy, the voice of WSU basketball.
