WSU Foundation moving to electronic receipting

Like many organizations, the WSU Foundation for years has mailed its donors hard copies of receipts for gifts received. And now, like many organizations, it is moving toward a paperless system.

“We believe it makes good sense environmentally and financially to provide this information through email instead of the postal system,” said Patsy Selby, WSU Foundation vice president for finance and administrative services. “If desired, donors can print a copy of the email for their files.”

Beginning March 1, 2013, receipt letters will be emailed unless the WSU Foundation is advised otherwise.

To make this transition convenient for you, please contact Shannon Koehn, WSU Foundation director of information technology and prospect research, at (316) 978-3801 or, and tell her that:

  1. you agree that email is a good way for you to receive receipt letters and give her your preferred email address (until then, we will use the email address in our most current records)

  2. you prefer to continue to receive receipt letters on paper.

For donors who give more than one gift annually and whose giving is at the President’s Club annual level or more, the WSU Foundation will continue to mail hard copies of year-end summaries.

Thank you for considering supporting this change.
