Patsy Selby, Wichita State University Foundation vice president for finance and administrative services, was named one of the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business honorees and will be recognized at a luncheon later this month at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.

Meeting the Journal’s criteria, Selby is an upper-level executive, has been in a similar line of work for at least three years, lives and works in the Wichita area and has not previously been honored as part of the Women in Business program.

Selby joined the Foundation in February 2000.

“During her 15-year career at the WSU Foundation, I have held high regard for Patsy because of her leadership, integrity and the climate of care and support she has created for her team members,” said Elizabeth King, WSU Foundation president and CEO.

Deborah Buller, WSU Foundation executive assistant, received the Laura Cross Distinguished Service Award June 4 at the WSU Alumni Association’s Alumni Awards Banquet held in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom on the WSU campus.

The award recognizes current or retired WSU staff or faculty members who have given exceptional service to the university.

Buller has been working in an office assistant position for almost 45 years, nearly 30 of them at WSU. She was hired in 1984 to work for the WSU Board of Trustees. She also has worked for Selby and now for King.

“Deborah does whatever is necessary to make every contact a positive experience,” said King. “She puts people first.”
