In Memoriam -
Remembering friends who shared their lives with Wichita State
Wilson K. Cadman

    Wilson K. Cadman

Mr. Cadman supported Wichita State in many ways, but one of the most significant and high-profile was the contribution he and his wife, Roslyn, made to the renovation of the Rhatigan Student Center. In recognition, the art gallery in the center of the building’s main level was named in honor of Mr. Cadman. He and Roslyn also endowed generous scholarships for graduate students in business and fine arts. A 1951 graduate of the University of Wichita, Mr. Cadman served on the WSU Foundation’s National Advisory Council, the board of directors of the WSU Alumni Association and the SASO board of directors. During a career that spanned more than 40 years, he rose from an entry-level position to become president and CEO of Kansas Gas & Electric Co., which became Westar Energy after a series of mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Cadman died in October. He was 89. Survivors include his wife, two children and three grandchildren.
