Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the Faculty/Staff Giving Program?
A: This is a part of the Annual Fund for Excellence, a program of the WSU Foundation. The annual fund raises unrestricted dollars that can be used where needed most. In the past, gifts have supported student scholarships, departmental seminars, equipment and materials, faculty research and library resources.
Q: Can I specify where my contributions will go?
A: Yes. The choice is yours. Select one of the colleges or programs on the pledge form and if you don’t see what you are looking for, you can write it in where it says “Other.”
Q: How much of my gift goes to the area I specify?
A: The annual fund campaign is partially self-funded. Some expenses, such as postage, student telefund caller wages and long-distance telephone charges are funded by revenues, but as a WSU faculty or staff member, 100 percent of your gift will go to the area you designate.
Q: How much should I give?
A: No gift is too small. Your support of the Annual Fund for Excellence is appreciated, no matter the amount. Consider giving at least $1 per paycheck through payroll deduction for a total gift of $24 a year!
Q: What are the payment options?
A: There are four ways to make a contribution.
1. Complete a payroll deduction form to have a portion of your gift automatically deducted from each
2. Send a personal check made payable to the WSU Foundation.
3. Charge your gift to your credit card.
4. Make a gift of appreciated securities, such as stock.
