The Shocker Pride Scholarship at Wichita State has a decades-long history of providing financial support to students at WSU through the license plate program. Since 1999, it has funded more than $750,000 in scholarships, helping countless students achieve their academic goals.

About the Scholarship

Each year, the Shocker Pride Scholarships are awarded to up to 20 students in their junior or senior year at Wichita State University in the amount of $5,000.

The selection of the recipients is made by the WSU Alumni Engagement Scholarship Committee. Applications for the scholarship are available through the university scholarship platform, Scholarship Universe.

Become a Shocker Pride Mentor

Becoming a mentor is a powerful way to give back and make a lasting impact on the next generation of Shockers. As a mentor, you’ll be paired with a Shocker Pride Scholar to offer guidance, share career insights and help them navigate their academic and professional journey. The program creates meaningful, one-on-one connections that benefit both students and mentors, building a stronger Shocker community.
