Kyei Ta

Kyei: Core Values Scholar builds her future on integrity

When Kyei Ta learned she was selected as a Core Values Scholar, she shared the news with the person who has supported her every step of the way, her mother. “I was very grateful and thankful,” Ta says. “I told my mom right away. Seeing that there are people who actually believe in me and the values that I hold myself to makes me very confident in the way that I live.”

Sergio: Health, Healing and Hands-On Learning

Sergio Garcia, a third-year nursing student at WSU with clinical experience at both Ascension Via Christi St. Francis and St. Joseph, is looking forward to graduating from the newly-named Ascension Via Christi – Wichita State University School of Nursing — and to making a difference in the world.

Sarah: Overcoming Adversity

With the help of donor-supported scholarships, Sarah overcame adversity to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. The Diane Caton and Loyce Baker Memorial Scholarship gave her the financial support needed to focus on her education, her family and her future.
