
Sheila Krug
Vice President of Finance & Operations
Sheila Krug ’98/99 serves as vice president of finance and operations at the Wichita State University Foundation and Alumni Engagement, where she leads the organization’s financial strategy, operations and compliance efforts. With more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership across higher education and nonprofit sectors, Krug brings a deep commitment to fiscal stewardship, operational excellence and mission-driven service.
Since joining the WSUFAE in 2018, Krug has held progressive leadership roles, most recently serving as associate vice president and controller. In that capacity, she oversaw all accounting operations, strengthened internal controls and ensured compliance with GAAP, FASB, and nonprofit accounting standards. Her leadership has been instrumental in enhancing transparency and financial reporting across the organization.
Prior to her tenure at Wichita State, Krug served as vice president for finance and operations at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where she directed financial management, human resources and facilities operations. She also brings early career experience from Ernst & Young, LLP, where she worked as an auditor.
Krug holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wichita State University. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, strategic insight and unwavering dedication to integrity and service.
