About 150 people attended a ribbon-cutting on Feb. 7 to celebrate the completion of the Eck Stadium development project, funded entirely through private donations. The project features a new performance facility with a strength-and-conditioning center, locker rooms, player lounge, media room and offices for coaches and staff. Wichita State alumni, former Shocker athletes and other supporters gave more than $2 million for the project.
To all the donors: Thank you for making this possible. One of the nation’s best college baseball venues is now more impressive. Welcome to the new baseball and softball Performance Facility as part of Phase V of the stadium’s development plan. For more photos from the event, visit our Facebook page.
