History
Wu’s Big Event, launched in 2016 by the Community Service Board, is a one-day service initiative where Shockers come together to make a difference in the Wichita community. Participants volunteer at over 20 local sites—including organizations like United Way, The YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, and the Kansas Aviation Museum -completing a variety of impactful service projects.
This, through the WSUFAE, has now expanded to include Alumni giving back to their communities as well. With groups in Wichita, and now, Kansas City – Shocker Nation is making a bigger volunteer impact than ever before.
