Fairmount Society dinner celebrates top Shocker supporters
The annual Fairmount Society dinner was hosted on May 4 and welcomed some of Wichita State’s most generous supporters for an evening of celebration. With more than 150 guests in attendance, the event recognized individuals and organizations who have reached the highest giving tiers: Lifetime, Lifetime Distinction and Lifetime Achievement.
The Fairmount Founders’ Award, which is given annually to recognize individuals who provide outstanding service and generosity to Wichita State University, was presented to Steve Feilmeier ’85, who has demonstrated his commitment to WSU for decades.
“Steve is an asset in so many ways for Wichita State and for our organization,” said Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement. “We’re so grateful for his lifetime of service to WSU.”
