Juston White joins Kansas Health Foundation team
Juston White, who played basketball for the Shockers and studied business administration during his student days at Wichita State (1998-2001), is the community impact officer at the Kansas Health Foundation (KHF) in Wichita. Working specifically with KHF’s Building Power and Equity Initiative, White helps coach and develop grantees “for the purpose of greater health and social impact,” he explains.
He brings with him to his new position at KHF a wealth of experience in both the nonprofit and private sectors. He has served as executive director for both the KVC Hospital, a 54-bed children’s psychiatric hospital in Wichita, and the Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas. He has also been the campus director for Youthville in Dodge City, Kan.
Demonstrating his strong desire to give back to his community, White has served on numerous local boards and committees, including the Greater Wichita Chamber of Commerce, the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County and the Matlock Community Resource Center — and that’s just scratching the surface of his involvement. He has also co-chaired Project Wichita, is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and is a former member of the Kansas Citizen Review Panel.
White has received many awards and honors for his leadership and volunteer work. These include the Wichita Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and Excellence in Mental Health awards, Wichita public schools’ Good Apple Award and the NAACP Community Organization of the Year Award.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winston-Salem State University.
