WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement names Sheila Krug as vice president of finance and operations

The Wichita State University Foundation and Alumni Engagement is pleased to announce the promotion of Sheila Krug ’98/99 to vice president of finance and operations. Krug brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors to her new role, including seven years with the WSUFAE.
Krug most recently served as associate vice president and controller for the organization, in which she led all accounting operations, strengthened internal controls, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing the WSUFAE’s financial stewardship and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Wichita State, Krug served as vice president for finance and operations at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where she oversaw financial management, human resources, and facilities operations. She also brings experience from Ernst & Young, LLP, where she began her career as an auditor.
Krug holds both a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wichita State University.
