SHOCKERS UP

COVID-19 Emergency Fund

A message from Elizabeth King

Your gift will help provide:

$500 - one month's rent for the average student

$400 - one month of groceries for one student

$300 - a laptop for a student to continue learning remotely

$100 - a week’s worth of groceries

$50 - home supplies

Any amount will provide additional support for fellow Shockers.

“Shockers Up!” The rallying cry that rings throughout Charles Koch Arena on gamedays is an appropriate message for our community as we respond to the needs of our students. To date, we have secured $25,000 in seed money for an appeal to support students in need. We are asking you to help increase this amount so that we can fulfill the large number of emergency requests coming in.

Our university’s primary focus is two-fold. First, many of our students are now unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. Second, the entire university is transitioning to online learning, and a number of our students do not have the technology to participate in remote learning.

While we recognize many of you are facing financial uncertainty, we invite you as Shockers to support your fellow Shockers by contributing to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund for Students. Your donation will provide the resources and tools our students need to continue their education and focus on their future.
