Students share heartfelt stories at annual Scholarship Celebration
The 2022 Scholarship Celebration at Wichita State was a remarkable success, connecting scholarship recipients and donors at the annual event to give them an opportunity to learn more about each other. More than 200 people attended, including donors, WSU Foundation staff, scholarship recipients and their families, WSU’s academic deans and WSU President Rick Muma.
Attendees had the pleasure of listening to the personal stories of Olga Lesnik and Braden Botkin, two current scholarship recipients who emceed the event. They shared the profound difference scholarships have made in their own lives and thanked donors for making it possible to achieve their dreams. After their speeches, student performer I Cheng Che shared a recording of her most recent performance.
