Fully Dimensional

Wichita State’s Ulrich Museum of Art won’t officially turn 50-years-old until Dec. 7, 2024, but the birthday celebration has already begun. First on the museum’s slate of special anniversary exhibitions, programs, events and unveilings is Fully Dimensional: Artists of the Outdoor Sculpture Collection.

Curated by Jo Reinert, who serves as curator of modern and contemporary art at the Ulrich, the exhibition features more than 100 smaller-scale works by artists better known for their large-scale art — and who are represented in the renowned 86-piece Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection.

Fully Dimensional is the first exhibition for which Ulrich staff has worked with the School of Digital Arts and Shocker Studios to use augmented reality to enhance gallery engagement and interpretation.
