WSU Foundation hosts National Advisory Council spring meeting
Made up of more than 100 highly respected alumni and friends of the university, the National Advisory Council is dedicated to promoting the interests of Wichita State University and the WSU Foundation. Reflecting the demographics of the WSU alumni base, at least 30% of NAC members reside outside of Kansas.
Each member of the NAC serves on a committee to provide feedback and outside perspectives on the many priorities the Foundation executes each year. These include giving, investment and governance committees, along with marketing, operations and many more.
“We’re incredibly privileged to have these outstanding industry leaders on the NAC,” said Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the WSU Foundation. “The collective knowledge and experience of the group provides an incomparable source of feedback as we continue to execute our mission.”
Faculty awards are also presented during the spring meeting. Jeff Pulaski, associate professor and director of the School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, received the Fundraising Award for his outstanding work to help build philanthropic support. Sarah Nickel, assistant professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, was the recipient of the Community Impact Award.
