  • Director of Stewardship

    The Wichita State University Foundation is searching for a Director of Stewardship to work with our Donor Experience team.

    The WSU Foundation goes above and beyond to foster deep connection, strong engagement, and meaningful recognition for donors at all levels. Building strong relationships with our donors and keeping them engaged with the university comes down to three things: great communication, gratitude, and organized data. The right individual for our Director of Stewardship job will love all things project and event management as they lead a variety of gratitude initiatives and programs through data reporting, student outreach, and stewardship planning. We are looking for someone who is a strong multi-tasker with outstanding communication and research skills to help elevate the donor experience.

    Minimum requirements for the position include:

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required
    • Two years of work experience in a position requiring strong project management, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Must be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings
    • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and insurance
    • Commitment to the WSU Foundation core values of Integrity, Service, Teamwork and Relationships

    Preferred requirements:

    • Experience working in a stewardship or relationship management position
    • Knowledge of Wichita State University and a commitment to higher education

  • Director or Associate Director of Development – Kansas City (Remote)

    The Wichita State University Foundation is excited to expand our Kansas City operations! We are actively searching for a talented Shocker fundraiser living in Kansas City to join our development team. This position will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospective and present donors to Wichita State University. Depending on experience, this will be a Director or Associate Director role. Primary operations will be out of a home-office with frequent in-person and group interaction with WSU donors and alumni across the Kansas City metropolitan area.

    Minimum requirements for the position include:

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required
    • Associate Director of Development: One – three years direct in person solicitation experience
    • Director of Development: Three to seven years direct in person solicitation experience
    • Must be willing to travel locally in the Kansas City-metro area with occasional weekend and evening work and attend the monthly general staff meetings of the Foundation in Wichita
    • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and insurance
    • Must have space for a home-office. Computer, printer and office supplies provided
    • Project professional image at all times
    • Commitment to the WSU Foundation core values of Integrity, Service, Teamwork and Relationships

    Minimum requirements for all of these positions include a bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license as some of these positions include travel. Experience in higher ed fundraising or a similar fundraising environment will put you ahead!

    Calling all Marketers! We are searching for candidates to join our Marketing & Communications team at the Wichita State University Foundation.
    As a unit, the marketing team is responsible for maintaining the Foundation’s brand image and engaging donors through both traditional and digital communications to support our outreach efforts. We are starting the search now to fill multiple positions by the end of the summer.
