  • Marketing & Communications Team – Open Call

    Calling all Marketers! We are searching for candidates to join our Marketing & Communications team at the Wichita State University Foundation.
    As a unit, the marketing team is responsible for maintaining the Foundation’s brand image and engaging donors through both traditional and digital communications to support our outreach efforts. We are starting the search now to fill multiple positions by the end of the summer.

    Open positions include:

    • Creative Director
    • Graphic Designer
    • Marketing Coordinator
    • Marketing & Communications Assistant

    We are considering applicants with backgrounds in graphic design, videography, social media management, and/or marketing program management. While each role will have different qualifications and expectations, applicants are encouraged to apply if you have:

    • Commitment to the WSU Foundation core values: Integrity, Service, Teamwork and Relationships
    • A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, communications, digital media or related field
    • Excellent communication and strong attention to detail

  • Director of Development – College of Health Professions

    The Wichita State University Foundation is searching for a major gift officer to work with our College of Health Professions and as a generalist in an assigned geographic territory. This is an exciting opportunity to raise support for the important academic programs in the College of Health Professions, including Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Public Health, Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Medical Laboratory Sciences. The new director of development will play a major role in advancing the College of Health Professions as a strategic partner with the greater Wichita medical community. Working closely with the college dean and faculty, this person will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors while learning from and contributing to a strong team of fundraisers. The right candidate will have achieved major gift fundraising success, possess strong interpersonal skills, be committed to public higher education, and demonstrate strong internal motivation.

    Minimum requirements for the position include:

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required
    • Three years development experience at the major gift level in higher education or equivalent fundraising experience
    • Must be willing to travel and work occasional weekends and evenings
    • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and insurance

    • Graduate degree from accredited institution

  • Associate Director of Development – Kansas City (Remote)

    The Wichita State University Foundation is excited to expand our Kansas City development team! We are actively searching for a talented Shocker fundraiser living in Kansas City to join our team as an Associate Director of Development. Reporting to the Director of Development in Kansas City, this position will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospective and present donors to Wichita State University. Primary operations will be out of a home-office with frequent in-person and group interaction with WSU donors and alumni across the Kansas City metropolitan area.

    Minimum requirements for the position include:

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required
    • One – three years direct in person solicitation experience
    • Must be willing to travel locally in the Kansas City-metro area with occasional weekend and evening work and attend the monthly general staff meetings of the Foundation in Wichita.
    • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and insurance.
    • Must have space for a home-office. Computer, printer and office supplies provided.
