This year marks the 50th anniversary for Shockers who graduated from Wichita State University in 1974. To celebrate, we invite every Golden Grad back to campus for a special reunion experience. This milestone event is shock-full of activities – everything from a garden reception at the President’s Home, to induction into WSU’s Golden Alumni Society, to special recognition at Spring 2024 Commencement ceremonies.

Garden Reception

Enjoy time to reconnect with classmates during this welcoming reception at WSU President Rick Muma and First Gentleman Rick Case’s lovely campus home.

Parking is available in lot 20, at the entrance of the residence.
Brunch & Medallion Ceremony
10 a.m. | Rhatigan Student Center, Gridley Room
Join us for brunch and a special ceremony during which Class of 1974 members will be recognized and awarded 50-year medallions as they are inducted into the Golden Alumni Society.

Campus Tour
Meet at Woodman Center | 4205 E. 21 st St. N., Wichita, KS 67208
1:30 p.m. | First shuttle departs
2 p.m. | Second shuttle departs
Look for your favorite campus landmarks as you experience Wichita State’s main campus landscape today. You’ll see the historic heart of campus and its newest additions on this tour via shuttle. The tour will include a 10-minute walking segment. Any attendees not wishing to participate may remain on the shuttle.

Connect with fellow Shockers while enjoying casual dining and even a friendly game of bowling, if you choose, at this campus hang-out in the student complex formerly known as the CAC, the Campus Activities Center.
