Allen Family Endowed Scholarship

At the W. Frank Barton School of Business 75th Anniversary and Business Reunion, it was Paul Allen who received the Most Active Alumnus Award. Mr. Allen is a 1970 graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is CEO of Allen Gibbs & Houlik. In addition to his career and numerous professional affiliations, he has given his time to WSU in many different capacities. He is a past president and member of the Alumni Association and served several years on the Deans Advisory Board and the Foundation’s National Advisory Committee. He has assisted WSU s Accounting Department Council and played a critical role in WSU s Campaign for Students. Mr. Allen received the Alumni Recognition Award at the 2006 WSU Alumni Awards.

In 1993, he created the Allen Family Endowed Scholarship. Mr. Allen and his wife, Rachel, have five children. Mrs. Allen received a degree in accounting from WSU in 2001. The Allen Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded to graduates of Frederick Remington High School in Whitewater, Kan., who are business majors.
