Benjamin J. and Bettie M. Gibson Breeding Business Scholarship

Mrs. Breeding began attending the University of Wichita in 1952 and completed her bachelor of business administration in 1962, taking classes primarily at night during that time. She worked with the Internal Revenue Service in the Kansas City area while Mr. Breeding worked as a building inspector. Both were strong supporters of Wichita State and the W. Frank Barton School of Business. Mrs. Breeding died in 2008 and Mr. Breeding died in 2013.

This fund was established to provide scholarships for WSU students majoring in business. The Breedings also established a business scholarship for students who graduated from Wichita North High School, from which Mrs. Breeding graduated in 1949. Additionally, they endowed a fund to bring to campus distinguished speakers from the fields of government, business and education.
