William C. ‘Bill’ Cohen, a native of Wichita, was an executive in the commercial property and casualty insurance business. Building on his father’s company, his firm, IMA, grew to be one of the largest independent brokerages in the United States. His wife, Dorothy Cohen, enjoyed a career in marketing and public relations. The couple chose to endow this scholarship because they viewed education as the key to societal advancement. Mr. Cohen died in 2020.
