Bob and Darlene Anderson Accelerated Nursing Scholarship
After 25 years of teaching at Wichita State University, Dr. Robert ‘Bob’ Anderson, professor emeritus of education administration and supervision, retired in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his career in education spanned more than 40 years. Mrs. Darlene Anderson, also a UI graduate, earned her master’s in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School District, she retired in 1991. The Andersons established this scholarship in recognition of the importance of nurses to the health care profession and the value of the accelerated nursing program at WSU.
The Bob and Darlene Anderson Accelerated Nursing Scholarship is awarded annually to a student enrolled full time at WSU in the accelerated baccalaureate nursing program in the School of Nursing at the College of Health Professions.
