Bob and Darlene Anderson Heskett Center Support Fund

Dr. and Mrs. Anderson were loyal patrons of the Heskett Center at Wichita State University for many years. Firm believers in the importance of exercise and fitness, they established this fund to encourage students, faculty and staff to become Heskett Center members and enjoy its services.

Dr. Anderson was a professor of education administration and supervision. He retired from WSU in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his teaching career spanned more than 40 years, including 25 years at Wichita State. Mrs. Anderson, also a graduate of the University of Iowa, earned a master’s degree in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School District, she retired in 1991.

Together, the Andersons established numerous scholarships with WSU, committing themselves unconditionally to the future of the university and its students. Mrs. Anderson died in 2014. Mr. Anderson died in 2015.
