Bob and Darlene Anderson Spirit Squad Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Robert Bob Anderson, a professor of education administration and supervision, retired from WSU in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his teaching career spanned more than 40 years, including 25 years with WSU. His wife, Darlene, also a graduate of UI, earned her master’s in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School district, she retired in 1991. Generous supporters of WSU and its students, the Andersons provided numerous scholarships in areas of health professions, education and graduate studies, as well as Shocker athletics. In 2004, the Bob and Darlene Anderson Spirit Squad Endowed Scholarship was established, another aspect of the Andersons commitment to student support. Dr. Anderson died in 2015 and Mrs. Anderson in 2014.
