Bob and Darlene Anderson Track Scholarship

After 25 years of teaching at Wichita State University, Dr. Robert ‘Bob’ Anderson, professor emeritus of education administration and supervision, retired in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his career in education spanned more than 40 years.

Mrs. Darlene Anderson, also a UI graduate, earned a master’s degree in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School District, she retired in 1991.

In 2011, more than 30 Shockers were awarded financial aid from over 20 Anderson endowed scholarships, fellowships and awards. These are in men’s and women’s athletics, academic departments and student activities.
