Helen and Robert Williams Geology Fund

Robert Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Wichita in 1940. He went on to a career as a petroleum inspector for the state of Kansas. Helen Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in music education in 1942 from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in sacred music from Union Theological Seminary in 1948. She had a career as a pianist, organist and choir director in various settings. The Williamses were married in 1983 and enjoyed traveling the world. Robert Williams died in 2004. Helen Williams died in 2012. This fund serves as lasting tribute to their affinity for the geology program at Wichita State University. Funds are used at the discretion of the department chair.
