This fund was established with seed money by Quincalee Brown, Bob Shields and Lee Thompson, who were coach (Brown) and members (Shields and Thompson) of the 1968 WSU debate team, which won the National Intercollegiate Championship. It was enhanced by former WSU debaters to permanently escalate the capacity of the WSU debate program.
