The Donald A. Phillips Award for Excellence in Mineralogy

Mr. Donald Phillips, a geology major and outstanding student, had just completed his sophomore year when he died in 1977. The Wichita Gem and Mineral Society established this scholarship to honor Mr. Phillips.

The Donald A. Phillips Award for Excellence in Mineralogy is awarded to an outstanding student in mineralogy that most typifies the scholarship, discipline and character of Mr. Phillips.
