The Eveans Family Endowed Scholarship

Mark Eveans graduated from Wichita State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, followed by a master’s degree in finance in 1970. Mr. Eveans attended WSU on the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking Fellowship. Today, Mr. Eveans is president and chief investment officer at Meritage Portfolio Management. He has a number of interesting pastimes including: bodybuilding, traveling, reading, skiing and boating. He has also enjoyed coaching basketball and softball.

For a number of years, WSU has benefited from Mr. Eveans university involvement. His memberships have included the WSU Alumni Association, the W. Frank Barton School of Business Dean’s Council, the President’s Club and the WSU Foundation’s National Advisory Council. For more than 20 years, he and his past wife, Linda, also a WSU alumna, consistently gave to the W. Frank Barton School of Business and supported women’s softball. In 1995, Mr. and Mrs. Eveans established the Mark and Linda Eveans Endowed Scholarship in Business. The scholarship, now known as the Eveans Family Endowed Scholarship, is intended for students majoring in finance and investments.
