Vera Hutton Seamans Memorial Fellowship

Nearly 60 years after his graduation from Fairmount College in 1913, Dr. Herbert L. Seamans expressed a desire to return thanks to his alma mater. In 1971, he wrote of his belief that people should ‘support the institutions which have aided them in making it in society.’

Dr. Seamans established the Vera Hutton Seamons Memorial Fellowship in memory of his late wife, in recognition of her deeply religious and socially sensitive character. Mrs. Vera Hutton graduated from Fairmount College in 1913 and died in 1947.
