Veryle Heriford Endowed Scholarship in Fine Arts

Mrs. Veryle Heriford was known for her kindness and consideration of others. The wife of Cecil Heriford, she worked most of her life as a secretary. Wanting to make a lasting contribution to the Wichita community, where she spent most of her life, she decided to bequeath a part of her estate to Wichita State University. Following her death in 1993, the Veryle Heriford Endowed Scholarship in Fine Arts was established. Mrs. Heriford’s caring gesture continues to make a difference in the lives of many WSU students, as well as the community of Wichita.
