Walter H. Beech and Olive Ann Beech Endowed Scholarship in Music

The vision and pioneering spirit of Walter H. Beech and Olive Ann Beech led to the co-founding of Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1932. Mrs. Beech, the ‘First Lady of Aviation was known for her passionate support of cultural and educational programs in the community. A patron of the arts, Mrs. Beech was a strong supporter and champion of the Wichita Symphony, Music Theatre of Wichita and the Wichita Center for the Arts. In light of her philanthropic endeavors, the Walter H. Beech and Olive Ann Beech Endowed Scholarship in Music was established in 1993 for those students majoring in fine arts.
