Wayne Pfeiffer Fellowship for Data Analysis and Data Science
Wayne is a distinguished scientist with the San Diego Supercomputer Center at UCSD. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University in 1965, majoring in mathematics with minor in physics and German, graduating summa cum laude at 18. Wayne received his doctorate in engineering science from the California Institute of Technology in 1969. He has done research and development in nuclear engineering, plasma physics, computer performance and analysis and genomics, and his works have been featured in publications throughout his career. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys activities such as running, cycling, mountain climbing and skiing.
