Wesley Women’s Association Nursing Scholarship Fund

In 1987, the Wesley Women’s Association, a nonprofit affiliate of the Wesley Foundation, gave a large donation to Wichita State University to create two nursing scholarships. The Wesley Women’s Association Nursing Scholarship Fund benefits students in the College of Health Professions’ nursing department pursing studies in any area of nursing. Recipients of the award are required to work in the state of Kansas for at least one year following graduation. Its other scholarship, the Wesley Women’s Association Scholarship Fund in Maternal Child Nursing, is directed toward those pursuing studies in that field.

Although the Wesley Women’s Association no longer exists, its scholarships continue to play a critical role in the success of students pursuing a career in an especially demanding profession.
