Wichita Dental Hygienists Association Endowed Scholarship Fund in Dental Hygiene

The Wichita Dental Hygiene Association, a local chapter of the American Dental Hygienists Association, has been in Wichita for more than 40 years. Board members serve on the Oral Health Coalition and are active in the State Dental Board and Kansas Dental Hygienists Association. WDHA has been a strong supporter of Wichita State’s dental hygiene program, donating more than $30,000 dollars to the department over the years. In 2007, the organization established the Wichita Dental Hygienists Association Endowed Scholarship Fund in Dental Hygiene in the College of Health Professions, to assist dental hygiene students with their educational expenses. Students within the dental hygiene program have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in the state’s largest dental hygiene clinic for student education.
