William O. Long Endowed Scholarship

Prior to his death in January 1972, William O. Long served five years as a WSU police officer. He was well respected and appreciated by students, faculty and staff. Mr. Long formerly worked for the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and was a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander. A memorial scholarship established in his name shortly after his death was endowed in 1988.
