Trish Gandu and Sydney Matheis join the WSUFAE

Trish Gandu

Join us in welcoming Trish Gandu to the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement. A familiar face on campus, Trish has spent 20 years in various positions at Wichita State, serving most recently as the director of marketing and advertising in the Wichita State University Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing. At the WSUFAE, she steps into the role of senior director of events and donor experience, where she will help highlight, steward and celebrate the university’s supporters.

Outside of work, Trish enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching her children play sports and cheering on the Shockers. A proud alumna herself, Trish is eager to support the university in her new role by engaging with donors and alumni.

Sydney Matheis

Sydney Matheis joins the marketing and communications team at the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement as its social media manager. Sydney, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University and a master’s degree from Kansas State University, brings a wealth of experience in social media management from her previous role as a strategist for a local marketing agency.

Away from campus, Sydney enjoys watching movies, going for walks and playing cozy video games – her favorite of which being Stardew Valley.
