35 Under 35 Nominations

This year, we are excited to be selecting the 2026 Young Alumni honoree from our inaugural 35 Under 35 cohort. Selected awardees will be recognized at an Honoree Reception during the month of September. One individual will be selected for the Young Alumni Award and announced at the annual Heritage Gala.

From a robust community of young Wichita State alumni, this honor will be bestowed to 35 individuals age 35 or younger who has demonstrated leadership in their professional field or whose achievements have been significant in their community. We seek to identify and highlight outstanding Shockers who are changemakers, trendsetters, problem solvers and innovators, exemplifying what it means to be a Shocker.

Nominees must be alumni of Wichita State University and 35 years old or younger on December 31, 2026. Nominees will complete a brief application to finalize their submission.

Nominee must be willing to be included, with a photograph, in various alumni and university publications, and marketing.

The selection committee comprises staff and alumni from the Foundation and Alumni Engagement office, Wichita State University, and the Shocker GOLD Committee.

Award criteria and descriptions will be strictly followed. Once an individual has received a specific award, they will not be eligible for that same award again. Individuals who have not previously won may be nominated for one or more awards during a single nomination cycle.
