Current Priority ProjectsWichita State University’s Shocker Success Center brings together over 15 vital student services that were previously dispersed across 10 different buildings on campus.
Located directly next to the student center, students can conveniently access resources in a beautifully updated space that meets their needs in the heart of campus.
This $60 million, 125,000-square-foot academic building on WSU’s Innovation Campus is the home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business.
“It was my father’s entrepreneurial mindset – a belief in taking risks and making new discoveries – that was one of the reasons my parents made the gift they did,” said Marc Woolsey, a Wichita State graduate. “My father said he hoped their financial support would help develop future entrepreneurs and business leaders for our community.”
Wichita State opened its 36,000-square-foot Student-Athlete Success Center in October 2020. The two-level building, located just south of Charles Koch Arena, features a 2,500-square-foot study hall, tutoring rooms, a larger computer center, offices for the men’s and women’s golf coaches, a photo studio and other offices and meeting rooms for staff.
The Student-Athlete Success Center also houses the Wichita State Track & Field and Cross Country teams. The programs now have their own locker room with a team lounge and state-of-the-art weight room.
The Rhatigan Student Center is the social hub of student life at WSU, located in the heart of the main campus. Whether you’re looking for a place to study, to hang out with friends, eat, shop, relax — or even to get a quick haircut — the RSC is the place to be.
The mission of the Rhatigan Student Center is to be a diverse composition of people, services, programs and facilities that enrich the intellectual, cultural and social well-being of the WSU student and supports the University’s mission to serve the greater public good.

Shocker Hall is a state-of-the-art residence hall that was built in 2014. It is located in the heart of the Wichita State campus and is home to more than 800 first-year residents. Shocker Hall offers a wide variety of room styles- from shared style to private rooms, there is a type of living space to fit everyone’s needs! Shocker Hall is home to the Dorothy & Bill Cohen Honors College as well as all of university’s Living Learning Communities. Shocker Dining and the Groundhouse are attached to the residence hall, making each meal quick and convenient for all Shocker Hall residents.
