Introducing the 2024-25 Shocker Pride Scholars

The Shocker Pride Scholarship at Wichita State has a decades-long history of providing financial support to students at WSU through the license plate program. Since 1999, it has funded more than $700,000 in scholarships, helping countless students achieve their academic goals.

This year, the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement is launching a formal Shocker Pride Scholars Program to enhance the scholarship, providing professional development, alumni mentoring and community experiences in addition to financial support.

“This scholarship program would not be possible without the continued support of the Shocker Pride license plates within our community,” said Stacie Williamson, vice president of alumni engagement. “I feel great pride driving through Wichita and outlying towns throughout Kansas knowing that every WSU plate I see translates to scholarship dollars for these students.”
